Common questions
Can you always find the auction sheet?
No. Availability depends on the chassis number, the auction source, vehicle age, and record quality. Some vehicles return an instant match, some partial data, and some nothing at all.
What if no data is found?
“Not found” means no accessible instant record was located — not that no auction history exists. You can request Manual Search for €50, where our team reviews available records by hand.
Is the auction sheet guaranteed to be complete?
No. Records can be partial or unavailable and coverage varies by auction house and source. We describe what a report can include, not what it always includes.
Can a Japanese auction sheet be fake?
A seller-provided sheet can be edited, incomplete, or mismatched to the car. Verifying by chassis or frame number helps confirm the sheet belongs to the vehicle.
Can you verify mileage?
A sheet may show the odometer reading recorded at auction, which you can compare against a seller’s claim. It cannot guarantee the car’s current mileage today.
Can you check accident or repair history?
Where recorded, diagram marks, repair notes, and comments can indicate accident or repair history. This depends on the individual sheet and source coverage.
How long does a report take?

What do I need to provide?
For a lookup, the chassis or frame number. For a manual check, add make, model, approximate year, country of import, and any seller listing or sheet image.
What is the difference between chassis number and VIN/frame number?
For Japanese vehicles the chassis/frame number is the primary identifier; a VIN-like identifier can also be used. The key point is entering it accurately so the correct car is checked.
