Privacy Policy

This Privacy Policy explains how carsfromjapan.com.cy("we", "us"), operated by Cyprus AutoService, handles your data when you use our Japanese auction-sheet verification service.

What we collect

• Vehicle identifiers you submit (chassis / frame number or VIN-like identifier) to run a check.
• Account data when you sign in: your email address, and your name and profile picture if you sign in with Google or Facebook.
• Saved reports you choose to keep in your account (the vehicle identifier and basic report details).
• Contact details you provide for manual checks or support (e.g. email, messaging handle).
• Payment is processed by third-party providers; we do not store your card details.

How we use it

• To run auction-sheet checks and deliver reports.
• To create and manage your account and your saved reports.
• To provide support and respond to manual-check requests.
• To take and confirm payment for paid reports.

Who processes data for us

• Supabase — authentication and database (your account and saved reports).
• Google / Facebook — only if you choose to sign in with them (name, profile picture, email).
• Payment providers (e.g. Stripe, PayPal, and a crypto processor) — to process payments.
• Our auction-data provider — to retrieve auction-sheet records for the identifier you submit.
• Email and messaging (SMTP email, WhatsApp, Telegram) — to deliver reports and updates you request.

Cookies

We use a session cookie to keep you signed in. We do not use it for advertising.

Separately, if you choose “Allow marketing”, we load Meta Pixel to measure page visits, auction-sheet searches, checkout starts and verified website purchases, and to improve our Facebook and Instagram advertising. Meta receives browser and connection information (including IP address and browser identifiers), advertising click identifiers and these events. Purchase events include the product, amount and currency. We do not send chassis/frame numbers, report contents, seller URLs, payment session identifiers, or contact form fields in these events.

Marketing cookies remain disabled until you allow them. Your choice is saved for 90 days. You can withdraw consent through “Cookie settings”; this stops future advertising events and removes the Meta cookies set on our domains. Declining marketing does not prevent checks or purchases. Data retention & deletion

You are in control of your data:

• Remove any saved report from your account at any time (the Remove button in your account).
• To delete your entire account and associated data, email us at info@cyprusautoservice.com with the subject "Delete my account" from the email address you use to sign in. We will delete your account data within 30 days.

Your rights

You can request access to, correction of, or deletion of your personal data by contacting us. We keep data only as long as needed to provide the service or as required by law.
